Newbury Rock School, as featured on TV!

Our Rock School is designed to allow guitarists, bass players, keyboard players, drummers and singers the chance to play in a band with youngsters their own age, with a recording and live performance at the end of the week.

We don't have any age or ability restrictions, as we feel everyone should have the chance to play in a band, although we do keep students with similar ages together. So you don't have to worry that you will be put with a 6 year old if you are 17!  A professional will always be available for each band at all times to ensure everyone gets maximum help, as well as tutors for individuals if they feel they need it.

We have world class and famous musicians helping the bands get to the highest standard possible, whilst having a great time. The rock school is held in a top recording studio, which is fully air-conditioned with four sound proofed rooms. 

All equipment is top of the range, with all valve amps for guitars and Mapex drum kits.

Some of the professionals who come to teach include  Steve 'Smiley' Barnard (Robbie Williams, Joe Strummer, Squeeze), Jodie Hawkes (Chesney Hawkes, Pete Townsend), Ryan Burnett (The Crave),Tom Swann (The Crave), C.J Evans (The Crave),Tim Love,(Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers) Lee Thompson (Madness) Chesney Hawkes, Pete Friesen (Alice Cooper, The Almighty) Dan Morriss (Sion), Plus others!

We believe the above measures make our rock school a cut above the rest.

Our next Rock School is scheduled during the Summer break, running from Monday August 2nd to Friday the 6th, and August 23rd to August 27th. There will be morning and afternoon sessions available, each running for 3 hours per day. All day sessions also available.

The cost will be £100 for the five days, morning or afternoon sessions. The cost for 5 full days is £200. This will include a performance at the end of the week, and photographs taken by professional photographer Mikaela Wild. 

There will also be a contest for the chance to perform at the Newbury Corn Exchange on Saturday, September 11th at 'Newburys Biggest Most Spectacular Night Of Rock', with several world class bands!
